    So what did I miss?

    Did RAM get any cheaper while I was gone, new BBS software created, AI pumped out a BBS hit tune for Spotify?

    Actually, a new BBS software WAS created! ViSiON/3, a reimagining of ViSiON/2 written in go has been created. It's still in early stages but it's pretty amazing so far.

    Actually, a new BBS software WAS created! ViSiON/3, a reimagining of ViSiO written in go has been created. It's still in early stages but it's pretty amazing so far.

    Heck, not even the only BBS software that was created, as the first mesh / LoRa based BBS came out (supplydrop.meshamerica.com).

    (I think there are more examples, too, but it's neat when BBSs are pushing into something new)

    I just bought RAM to build a new machine for one of the kiddos. It definitely did not go down hahaha!

    Yeah bummer huh? I hear Raspberry Pi 6 may be delayed because of this but the model 4 I have and the current model 5 probably does enough anyway.

    I wonder if software authors will downspec the demands of their programs to accommodate the tightening of supply?

    Normal, maybe? Though I'll wind up in the US for a work trip, soon.

    Hopefully you're enjoying all the daylight you've been taking from us.

    Though _not_ having air-conditioning required (where available) weather is a nice change.

    Heh yes, it's starting to get warmer again (at last) although still really springlike as one day the max is around 12 celcius and then two days later it's more like 22 celcius.

    Daylight saving kicked in here at the end of the first or second week of October and runs until around early April. I'm not convinced we're going to have a nice settled summer as like most places around the globe the the weather is more extreme now which for us is stronger winds and more rain when it falls.

    I got a plaque given to me once by a school friend when I was about 12 and it read 'there's no use worrying... you won't get out of this life alive"

    Not sure how age appropriate it was but I never forgot the saying..

    Eeek.. yeah AI has done crazy things to RAM prices - sadly.

    Hey when you have a minute can you check your file announcement messages the BBS is sending to FSX_FIL that echo was retired, but if you can change your end to post them to FSX_BOT that would be grand.

    Glad to see things going well for Enigma 1/2 Nu, we're lucky to have you across the development of it as and when you have the time :)
